REPUBLIC DAY ON 26 JANUARY
India celebrates republic day on 26 january. It celebrates annually with a lots of pride. This day is very important for all human beings in our country that is our indian citizens. It marks the day when india became truly independent.
On 26 january 1950, about 3 years of post independence we became a secular, sovereign, socialist, democratic republic.
History of republic day
Our country got independence from british rule on 15, august 1947. But our country didn't have any powerful constitution. And also india did not have any expert's in political powers. In 1935 the government of india act basically modified in order to govern but that act was more bent towards colonial rule.Therefore their is a higher need for making a powerful rule and powerful constitution for betterment of our country.
Thus Dr.B.R Ambedkar led a constitutional drafting committee on August 28, 1947. After drafting it will submitted in front of constituent assembly on November 4, 1947.This whole process was very strong, elaborate and took up to 166 days to complete.
Our constitutional committee faced lots of problems but they don't give up. It aimed to create the perfect balance so all citizens in the country get equal rights. Pertaining to their religions, culture, cast, sex, creed and more.And finally they presented the official indian constitution on 26 january 1950.At this time Dr Rajendra prasad was our president. This day is the end of british rules and the birth of india as a republic state.
Republic day celebration's
In india republic day is celebrated on 26, january. At these occasion all people come together forgetting their cast, creed, religion, sex and become united and celebrate very well. In our capital of india new delhi celebrates it with a Republic parade that showcase the might of indian military and the cultural diversity of our country.
More over each schools, government offices, are celebrating republic day by national flag hoisting. In New delhi the president of india hoist national flag after that 21 guns salute follow it with the national anthem played by the military band. IN Schools march past takes place and also another programs takes place. People didn't forget the fact that how we got the freedom. There is a big struggles and blood flow for our freedom. This day is joyful for all indian citizens. And this day we proudly remember our freedom fighters.
